Definition
纬度 (wěi dù) is a geographic term meaning 'latitude' — the angular distance north or south of the equator. It contrasts with 经度 (jīng dù, 'longitude'), which measures east-west position, and 宽度 (kuān dù, 'width'), which is a general measure of how wide something is.
