Definition
粗制滥造 is a four-character set phrase (成语) that describes something made carelessly, with poor quality and little attention to detail — the opposite of 'craftsmanship'. You can use it for products, writing, films, or any work that feels rushed and shoddy. The literal meaning is 'roughly manufacture and flood the market', but the modern sense is simply 'badly made' or 'done in a slipshod way'.
