Definition
米其林 is a brand loanword from French 'Michelin'. While it originally refers to the tire company (米其林轮胎), in Chinese it is equally (if not more) commonly used to refer to the Michelin Guide restaurant rating system — a star rating that signals top-quality dining. When talking about restaurants, you'll hear 米其林星级 (Michelin star rating) or simply 米其林餐厅 (Michelin-starred restaurant). As a proper noun, it doesn't inflect or take classifiers.
