答理 means 'to acknowledge or respond to someone', but it is almost always used in the negative (不答理 or 没答理) to mean 'ignore, pay no attention'. You will rarely hear it in affirmative sentences. Note: the full pronunciation is dāli, but the pinyin given here is just dā, reflecting the first character's tone; in practice both syllables are pronounced.
