Definition
筑巢 means 'to build a nest'. It is a separable verb (离合词): the verb 筑 and the object 巢 can split when adding aspect markers, measure words, or duration. For example, you can say 筑了一个巢 ('built a nest') or 筑过巢 ('have built a nest'). The object 巢 can also be modified: 筑了一个新巢 ('built a new nest').
