Definition
竞相 (jìng xiāng) is an adverb meaning 'to compete eagerly to do something', used before a verb to describe many people or entities vying to do the same thing. It is very similar to 争相 (zhēng xiāng), but 竞相 often implies a more formal or competitive context (e.g., companies, exam takers). Unlike adjectives like 好胜 or 要强, 竞相 modifies the action, not the person.
