Definition
空肠 has two very different specialized meanings. In medicine it refers to the jejunum, the middle section of the small intestine between the duodenum and ileum. In botany it denotes plants of the Scutellaria genus (skullcap), which are used in traditional Chinese medicine. The two senses appear in entirely separate contexts and are not interchangeable.
