Definition
移居 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to migrate' or 'to move one's residence' to another city or country for long-term living. The verb 移 and the noun 居 can split when adding aspect markers (了/过) or duration/frequency phrases: 移了居 (moved residence), 移过两次居 (moved twice). The destination follows the whole word, e.g. 移居国外.
