积极 (jī jí) describes a proactive, energetic attitude toward work, study, or life, and also means 'positive' about the future (e.g., 积极的态度). 主动 (zhǔ dòng) focuses on taking initiative without being asked, while 活跃 (huó yuè) describes lively participation in a group. 积极 is broader, covering both attitude and outlook.
