Definition
秒 is a classifier (measure word) for seconds — the standard unit of time. You place it directly after a number: 十秒 (ten seconds), 五秒 (five seconds). In colloquial speech it also appears in compounds like 秒杀 (instant kill) or 秒回 (instant reply) to mean 'instant' or 'very fast', but as a standalone classifier it strictly measures time.
