Definition
真经 literally means 'true scripture' — originally referring to authentic Buddhist sutras (as in 取经 from Journey to the West). In modern usage it's a metaphor for the real, practical knowledge or the essential secret to doing something well, often after effort or experience. You'll hear it in phrases like 取真经 ('obtain the real know-how') or 这就是做生意的真经 ('this is the real secret to doing business').
