Definition
省略 means 'to omit, leave out' intentionally, often from a text or procedure. Compared to 省 (which can also mean 'to save/economize') and 落 (là, which implies accidentally leaving something out), 省略 is more explicit and deliberate, and is commonly used in formal or written contexts.
