相貌 (xiàngmào) is a formal, neutral word for a person's facial features and overall appearance, often used in written or descriptive contexts. Compared to 长相 (zhǎngxiàng), which is more colloquial and everyday, 相貌 sounds more objective and literary. It differs from 外貌 (wàimào), which can include body shape and clothing, and from 容貌 (róngmào), which focuses more narrowly on the face.
