Definition
盘古 is the primordial creator in Chinese mythology who, after sleeping for 18,000 years inside a cosmic egg, awoke and split the egg into heaven and earth. His body then transformed into the mountains, rivers, sun, moon, and stars — a foundational origin myth equivalent to the Indian Purusa. As a proper noun, it is always capitalized in pinyin and never takes a classifier.
