Definition
百 (bǎi) means 'hundred' — the number 100. It's the base unit for hundreds, while 万 (wàn) means 'ten thousand' (10,000). In some compound words, 百 can also mean 'many' or 'all kinds of', but at HSK 1 just remember it as the number 100.
