Definition
登峰造极 is a formal, literary four-character idiom (成语) that literally means 'climb the peak, reach the extreme.' It describes someone who has reached the highest level of perfection or achievement in a particular field, especially in art, skill, or scholarship. Unlike its literal image, it does not refer to physical climbing. Use it to praise extraordinary mastery or the ultimate attainment of a goal.
