Definition
瘦削 describes a person who is very thin to the point of appearing gaunt or haggard, often due to illness, exhaustion, or age. It carries a slightly negative or sympathetic tone, unlike the neutral or positive 'slim' (苗条). Use it for someone whose thinness is striking and usually not healthy-looking.
