Definition
琉 is a bound morpheme — it almost never appears alone in modern Chinese. You'll see it in the compound 琉璃 (liúlí, 'colored glaze' or 'glass-like material') and in the place name 琉球 (Liúqiú, the Ryukyu Islands). As a standalone character it has no independent usage.
