Definition
珍重 has two distinct uses: to cherish (relationships/friendships) and, as a polite farewell, to take good care of oneself. It is more formal and emotional than everyday 珍惜 (zhēn xī) for valuing things, and as a farewell it is more literary than 保重 (bǎo zhòng).
