Definition
现存 (xiàn cún) means 'extant, still in existence' and is used for things that have survived from the past, like ancient buildings or rare species. It differs from 现有 (xiàn yǒu 'currently available'), which refers to what is present now, and from 存在 (cún zài 'to exist'), which is a general verb for existence without the 'surviving from the past' nuance.
