Definition
特许权 refers to an exclusive right granted by an authority—often a government or organization—to operate a business, provide a service, or use a resource. Common examples are franchises (e.g., fast-food chains), concessions (e.g., airport shops), and licenses (e.g., broadcasting rights). Note that 特许权 is not the same as 专利 (patent), which protects an invention.
