Definition
爽 (shuǎng) is a colloquial adjective for feeling 'great' in three main senses: a physical sense of refreshment after exertion, a straightforward personality, and crisp weather. It is more common and informal than 坦率 (frank in writing) and less intense than 过瘾 (deeply satisfying a craving). The sibling 爽快 largely overlaps but 爽 is used more often for weather.
