Definition
照常 (zhào cháng) means 'as usual' and emphasizes that something continues in the same way despite a change in circumstances. It is close to 照样 (zhào yàng) 'still, as before', but 照常 is more about routine continuing, while 照例 (zhào lì) 'as a rule' stresses following a set precedent. 通常 (tōng cháng) is a general 'usually' for frequency, not for continuing a routine.
