Definition
点拨 means to give someone a small piece of guidance or a hint that helps them understand something better. It's lighter than 教 (to teach) — you 点拨 someone when they're stuck and you give them a nudge in the right direction. It can also mean to coach or instruct briefly, but never in a formal classroom sense.
