Definition
游行 (yóuxíng) means 'to march or parade' and can refer to either a celebratory procession (e.g., on National Day) or a protest demonstration. In contrast, 示威 (shìwēi) specifically means 'to demonstrate as a protest' or 'to make a show of force' and is only used for protests, not celebrations.
