淘气 (táo qì) is the most common everyday word for 'naughty, mischievous' — used for children or pets who playfully misbehave. 调皮 (tiáo pí) is very similar but can also imply clever, playful trickery; 皮 (pí) is a more colloquial, single-character variant common in northern speech. 顽皮 (wán pí) is slightly more literary and affectionate.
