Definition
浜 (bāng) is a bound morpheme meaning 'creek' or 'small stream'. It rarely appears as an independent word; instead, it is found in place names, especially in the Yangtze River Delta region (e.g., 沙家浜 Shājiābāng, a famous village in Jiangsu). You will not use 浜 alone in everyday speech — it functions as a geographical suffix.
