Definition
流动 (liú dòng) is a general verb for 'flow/circulate', covering liquids, gases, people, goods, and assets. It is broader than 流 (liú), which is mainly for physical flow of liquids/air, and 流通 (liú tōng), which implies systematic circulation (air, money, goods). 流淌 (liú tǎng) is more poetic, for gentle flow of liquids or emotions.
