Definition
没头没脑 is a four-character idiom that literally means 'without head and without brain'. It describes something that happens abruptly and without any clear reason or logic, or a person who is completely baffled and cannot figure things out. Use it as an adverb phrase before verbs to show that an action is groundless or sudden, or after 得 as a complement to describe a confused state.
