沉稳 (chén wěn) describes a person who is both calm under pressure and steady in their actions — it combines the composure of 沉着 (chén zhuó) with the reliability of 稳重 (wěn zhòng). Unlike 稳定 (wěn dìng), which is used for systems or situations, 沉稳 is reserved for a person's temperament and approach to work.
