Definition
求饶 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to beg for mercy'. The two syllables can split to insert aspect markers (了、过) or quantitative phrases (一次、半天) between them: 求过饶 ('have begged for mercy'), 求了半天饶 ('begged for mercy for a long time').
