Definition
求救 (qiú jiù) means 'to call for help' in an urgent, life-threatening situation — it focuses on the act of signaling or crying out for rescue. Unlike 求助 (qiú zhù), which is a general request for assistance (even non-emergency), 求救 is always for emergencies. It is also different from 救 (jiù 'to save'), which is the actual rescue action, not the call for it.
