Definition
求之不得 is a fixed expression (成语) with a literal meaning of 'seek but fail to get', but in modern usage it's the opposite — it means something is exactly what you've been hoping for, so you're more than happy to accept it. You can use it to express that an offer or opportunity is extremely welcome, or that a particular outcome is your dream come true. The phrase is often used to respond to a suggestion or gift: 这个工作对我来说真是求之不得. Note that the pinyin in the source data may be incomplete (missing 得).
