Definition
步行 (bùxíng) means 'to go on foot' and is used when talking about walking as a mode of transportation, often in a neutral or slightly formal context. It is more specific than the everyday verb 走 (zǒu 'to walk, to go') and is not used for casual strolling (散步 sànbù) or the literary 行走 (xíngzǒu).
