Definition
正文 has two main clusters of meaning. In publishing and writing, it refers to the main body of a book, article, or document — as distinct from prefaces, notes, indexes, or illustrations. In Chinese character lexicography, it means the standard form of a character (正体), as listed in a dictionary's main entry, as opposed to variant forms (异体). You'll encounter both senses at advanced reading levels.
