Definition
欠条 (qiàn tiáo) is a general IOU acknowledging any kind of debt (goods, money, etc.), while 借条 (jiè tiáo) specifically refers to a receipt for a cash loan. 债券 (zhài quàn) is a different instrument: a formal bond or debenture, usually tradable and issued by organizations. Use 欠条 for a simple personal debt note.
