Definition
横溢 is used in two main contexts: literally, for a river overflowing its banks (河水横溢), and figuratively, for talent, enthusiasm, or creative energy that is so abundant it seems to 'overflow' (才华横溢). The figurative sense is much more common in modern Chinese and often appears in the fixed four-character phrase 才华横溢, meaning 'brimming with talent.'
