检讨 (jiǎntǎo) means to examine and reflect on one's mistakes, often leading to a formal self-criticism (in work or political contexts). Compared to 反省 (fǎnxǐng), which is a more personal, conscience-driven reflection, 检讨 has a stronger sense of accountability and is usually directed at a specific shortcoming or error. 反思 (fǎnsī) is broader, covering re-examination of any situation rather than specifically one's own faults.
