Definition
桥段 is a term borrowed from film and literary criticism, referring to a recognizable plot device, convention, or classic scene—often implying a familiar or cliché narrative element. It can also mean a bridge passage in music composition. In everyday Chinese, it's most commonly used to describe a recurring or formulaic scene in movies or TV shows.
