Definition
架子 (jià zi) has two meanings: a physical shelf/frame/stand (generic term) and abstract 'airs/arrogance' (摆架子). For physical structures, it is a general word, while 架/框/骨架/支架/框架 have more specific uses (classifier, frame, skeleton, support, framework). For arrogance, 架子 is negative (putting on airs), whereas 骄傲 can be positive pride or negative arrogance.
