Definition
松动 is a stative verb that describes something becoming less tight or less strict. It can refer to a physical object (a screw, a tooth) that has come loose, or figuratively to rules, policies, or attitudes becoming more flexible. A less common use is for finances being more comfortable than before. The existing English glosses 'uncrowded' and 'comfortably off' are misleading—focus on the core senses of 'loose' and 'flexible'.
