来着 (lái zhe) is a sentence-final particle used to indicate that an action or event happened in the past, often when you are trying to recall or confirm something. It adds a tone of reminiscence or uncertainty, similar to saying 'was/were …-ing' or '…, if I remember correctly' in English. It is commonly used in questions or statements where the speaker is thinking back to something recently done or said.
