Definition
来回 (lái huí) describes physical back-and-forth movement or a round trip, and can be used as a verb, noun, or adverb. Unlike 往返 (wǎng fǎn), which is more formal and used specifically for travel or round trips, 来回 is more general and common in everyday speech. As an adverb meaning 'back and forth', it differs from 反复 (fǎn fù), which means 'repeatedly' in an abstract sense without physical movement.
