Definition
机智 (jī zhì) describes someone quick-witted and resourceful, with a positive, admirable tone. It differs from 机灵 (jī ling), which emphasizes nimble alertness, and from 精明 (jīng míng), which focuses on shrewdness in personal affairs. 足智多谋 (zú zhì duō móu) is a more formal, literary phrase for 'full of stratagems'.
