Definition
有起色 is a separable verb-object phrase (离合词) meaning 'to show signs of improvement' — used for situations, business, health, or studies that were bad and are now getting better. The verb 有 ('to have') and the object 起色 ('improvement') can split when inserting time words or measure words: 有了起色 ('has shown improvement'), 有一点起色 ('a little improvement'). You cannot put a direct object after the phrase; instead say 在……方面有起色.
