Definition
有意识 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to have awareness' or 'to be conscious'. It is often used with 地 to form an adverb meaning 'consciously, deliberately', as in 有意识地控制 (control consciously). You can split it by inserting 了, 过, or prefixes between 有 and 意识, e.g. 有了意识 ('regained consciousness') or 很有环保意识 ('have a strong environmental awareness').
