Definition
有心 is a separable verb (离合词) formed by the verb 有 ('to have') and the noun 心 ('heart/mind'). It has two main uses: (1) 'intentionally, on purpose' — you can use it as an adverb before the main verb; (2) 'to have the intention or inclination to (do something)' — in this sense you often split it: 有...心, as in 有这份心 ('to have such a thought/purpose') or 有什么心 ('what intention?'). The object or detail slots between 有 and 心. Be careful: 'careful/cautious' is not a common meaning of 有心 alone; that sense appears in the compound 有心人 ('a careful person').
