Definition
更 (gèng) is the standard degree adverb for 'more / even more' in comparisons (A比B更+adj). It is more neutral and common than 还 (hái), which in comparisons adds a sense of 'even, still' often implying a gap or surprise; and more concise than 更加 (gèng jiā), which is slightly more formal and emphatic.
