Definition
更加 means 'even more, still more' and is used to indicate a higher degree in comparisons. It is similar to 更 (gèng) but sounds slightly more formal and emphatic; 更 is the everyday word. 还 (hái) can also mean 'even more' in comparisons (比…还…) but adds a sense of 'still' or 'surprisingly'.
