Definition
晟 (Shèng) is a Chinese surname, less common than 程 (Chéng) which shares the same romanization. In classical Chinese it also means 'bright' or 'flourishing', but in modern usage it functions almost exclusively as a surname. Be careful: the pinyin is Shèng, not Chéng, though it is sometimes romanized as 'Cheng' in non-Mandarin dialects or by individual preference.
